    Spray the Stress Away: Three Great DIY Beauty Mist Recipes

    Expensive hydrating misters are on the rise as a major trendy beauty buy lately, but so many of them can be made with just a few simple ingredients! Natural ingredients can be an easy fix for dull, dehydrated skin and hair and can quickly help brighten up your mood. Check out our round-up of easy DIY recipes below!


    Start with the basics:

    You’ll need a small sterilized glass spray bottle— 2 or 4 oz is a great size to carry around. Some good bases to use include distilled water, witch hazel, rose water, aloe water, and coconut water. Coconut and aloe water-based mists should only last up to two weeks and should be refrigerated to prevent bacteria growth.


    Calming floral facial mist:

    1.5 oz rose water

    5 drops jojoba oil

    2 drops lavender essential oil


    Clarifying facial mist:

    1.5 oz witch hazel

    3 drops lavender essential oil

    2 drop tea tree oil


    Fragrant sea salt texturizing spray:

    1 oz distilled water

    0.5 oz argan oil

    1 tbsp sea salt

    8 drops sweet orange essential oil

    2 drops ylang-ylang essential oil

    The holidays are almost over, and you may very well be suffering from a post-party burnout. It can oftentimes be hard to bounce back from weeks of stress, late nights, and binging on festive food and drinks. As a result of all this fun, your body can really suffer! Hair breaks, skin gets dull, breakouts pop up, and January begins in a fog of tiredness and irritability, or worse— sickness! Treat yourself right and rest up for 2017; you can still celebrate the ball drop, but we have some tips for some dreamy post-party treatments! So hydrate with some calming tea or lemon-infused water, dim the lights, and get ready to relax.


    Stress, heat styling, and products can do some hefty damage to your hair, so now is the time to revive it! Grab our Argan Oil Hair Mask to repair and restore hair with keratin and vitamin E. The mask fills in weak spots on the strands to reduce any further breakage, and leaves hair silky and strong.


    While you’re applying the mask, draw a bath for yourself and slip in some of our pure lavender essential oil. Or, hop in the shower to wash the mask out and indulge in one of our handmade soaps!


    When you’re done in the bath or shower, it’s important to moisturize right away. After drying off, generously apply our luxurious organic cocoa butter. Your dry skin will thank you, and if you really want to really deep-condition, grab some socks and gloves and put them on after applying some foot and hand cream.


    Another area of your skin that you’ll want to treat is your face. If a breakout has occurred from too much makeup or excitement, dab a very small amount of tea tree oil onto each blemish to calm them down and reduce redness. Then, apply some sweet almond oil underneath your eyes to help banish any dark circles (do this every night for two weeks for a noticeable difference).
